The initial Mission of JSC "Sportine Aviacija ir Ko" is to continue traditions of Lithuanian modern glider building industry, which started 40 years ago with the first composite glider BK-7 LIETUVA and grew up to the modern LAK-17B and LAK-20. The Company is not only designing and manufacturing new products, but is taking over and supporting older gliders: LAK-12, LAK-17A, LAK-17AT, LAK-19 and LAK-19AT with parts and needed documents.

Opinions on the glider LAK-17B from the EGC-2011 pilot G. Butnorius
During the championship fortunately had some time to fly with the leaders and compared glider with ASG-29, JS-1, Ventus 2cxa in different speeds with full ballast. I was pleasantly surprised to find that your production sailplane LAK-17B just as good, but is very important to use the flap position at different speeds and of course the pilot's ability to utilize the power of clouds. Write what tried the best flap position with water ballast at different speeds:
- 100 to 120 km / h in claiming used a "+3"
- 120 to 140 km / h conversion "+2" (there are intermediate positions)
- 140-160km / h passes "+1" (there are intermediate positions)
- 160 to 180 km / h passes a "0" (there are intermediate positions)
- to 180 and more km / h conversion "-1"
Propeller LAK-P-8
2011, the company has designed and launched a new product, the propeller LAK-P8. Propeller is with three blades, movable step in on the ground, designed for 80-120PS power. Strength characteristics of the CS J-22 requirements. Complete with shoulder stretch test. Composite blades are fully jointed with metal attachment. Their interior is filled with composite core (LAK-technology firms). Two hub parts made of aluminum 2024-T3.
